Imagine spending $46-mill on Canada Day fireworks and your audience still ain't sure if you're firing Duds or Studs?
Is that why Brian Burke was grinning that Grinch-like grin at the Draft last Friday...cuz he knew he was opening the vault for the Koma-saurus?
Are you willing to forgive Hal Gill his status as ex-Bruin and ex-Leaf for a glimpse of his Penguins ring?
Can Komasaurus suddenly make peace with Mikhail Grabovski?
Who is the next C? If Kovalev's not coming back, and even if he is, doesn't Josh Gorges strike you as the best character guy in that dressing room? Josh was a captain in junior and my other choice would have been Francis Bouillon---only he may only get a 'hometown discount' offer too!
Aren't you surprised the biggest Canada Day shockers for Bart Andrus are not learning intricacies of the Canadian aerial game but the off-the-wall reciever corps tribute to Michael Jackson on endzone celebrations?
Arland Bruce followed the first TD of 2009 with a dance kick in honour of MJ...

Elyse Amend
The Lord Reading Yacht Club (LRYC) in Beaconsfield was abuzz recently with club members swabbing the decks, polishing their boats, and making final tune-ups to ensure everything was just right for the arrival of the guests of honour.
For the first time, the LRYC hosted a Starlight Children's Foundation Canada Great Escape on June 20, offering up an afternoon of boat tours, on-land activities, and plenty of food to just over 20 seriously ill children and their families.
?When you have a sick child, it's not easy to do whatever you want,? said Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada executive director and West Islander Brian Bringolf...

If Koivu's really out of the Habs' future, will Mike Komisarek be the new captain?
Why can't I help thinking of how Koivu's departure from this team will effect the 7th and 8th floors of the Montreal Childrens let alone the ice-level of the Bell Centre?
Was I stunned when Bob Gainey discreetly noted that offers to Komisarek and Kovalev meant no pre-July 1 deal swing Saku's way? There had been warning signs but hear it coming from Mr...
