On Saturday, February 20th at 8:00 pm, renowned guitarist Denis Chang will be performing at Salle Pauline-Julien, accompanied by violinist Carmen Piculeata, guitarist Romain Vuillemin and Paul van Dyk on double bass. This amazing quartet will be presenting Jazz Manouche.

Considered one of Django Reinhardt's biggest fan, Denis Chang learned his craft from some of the best gypsy guitarists, namely Fapy Lafertin, Ritary Gaguenetti and Paulus Schäfer to name a few. With his unrivalled improvisation technique, this young guitarist immediately stood out thanks to his quick and colourful style and his phrases inspired by jazz/rhythm and blues and classical music. On stage, Chang, who has already produced two albums, masterfully performs an array of pieces that definitely render justice to Reinhardt.

" Chang is a master of many styles […]. His delivery is so outstanding that one can't help but think that hence one of the great gypsy swing guitarists is from Montreal. " - LE DEVOIR

The concert will be presented "cabaret style" with reserved seating. Tickets can be purchased starting at $20.00 at the Salle Pauline-Julien ticket office (15615 Gouin Boulevard West) or via the Admission network at 514 790-1245.
