CALGARY - The Calgary Fire Department is crediting three boys with possibly saving a row of townhouses from going up in smoke.
They say three boys ages 12, 15, and 17 were watching a movie in the early hours of the morning when they heard a strange noise and went outside to check it.
They spotted their neighbour's home on fire, grabbed a garden hose and started dousing the flames.
The fire was out by the time emergency crews arrived at the six-unit complex.
Firefighters were then called to extinguish another blaze only a few buildings away from the first one.
The fire department and the Calgary police arson unit are investigating both fires.
