Williams Lake airport reopened after suspicious package examined

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. - The airport in Williams Lake, B.C. was evacuated for several hours Sunday after a suspicious package was detected by airport security.
WIlliams Lake Mayor Scott Nelson says airport security swabbed a package and their suspicions were aroused.
All flights were immediately cancelled and passengers were taken to a nearby hangar or into town.
The Vancouver bomb squad along with RCMP were called in but found nothing dangerous in the package, said RCMP spokeswoman Const. Annie Linteau .
The owner of the package was questioned but released without charges.
