COWESSES, Sask. - Mounties in southeastern Saskatchewan say that a man who they first said was a victim of a hit and run was actually murdered.
Officers were called out to the Cowesses First Nation early Saturday where they found a 42-year-old man in a ditch beside a gravel road. The victim has been identified as Clayton Isaac.
Police said it was clear when they arrived an the scene that he had been hit by a vehicle.
A 37-year-old woman from the Cowessess First Nation has been arrested and charged with murder.
She is in Melville court Monday.
