Fisheries officers in N.S. seize illegally caught lobster, arrest 7 people

YARMOUTH, N.S. - Fisheries officers in Nova Scotia made two separate arrests over the weekend seizing undersized lobster and fishing gear.
They picked up two people allegedly fishing for lobster in Yarmouth Harbour on Friday night. Officers took possession of 60 legal sized lobster, 50 undersized lobster, traps and a six-metre boat with an outboard motor.
On Saturday night they arrested five people and seized a 12-metre lobster boat.
All the accused are due in court Sept. 23.
