Pilot killed in crop duster crash in southwestern Manitoba

ELGIN, Man. - A pilot has died in a crop duster crash in southwestern Manitoba.
A resident from the community of Elgin noticed smoke, went to investigate and discovered the crash Monday night.
RCMP say the man, a commercial pilot, had been flying to apply chemicals to crops in the area.
His name was not released.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
Elgin is about 280 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
