Walpole Island police probe early morning fatal hit-and-run

WALPOLE ISLAND, Ont. - A 31-year-old man from Walpole Island is dead after a weekend hit-and-run on the First Nations reserve about 50 kilometres south of Sarnia, Ont.
Officials say the man was struck and killed early Sunday morning on a road in the island community.
Walpole Island police say they're hoping someone saw the incident and will come forward with information.
Provincial police are assisting with the investigation.
The man's name is being withheld until police notify his family.
