ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - It's doubtful there will be any interaction between Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams and the prime minister when Stephen Harper visits the province this week.
Harper will be in the province Wednesday and Thursday, but there are no plans for the two leaders to meet. A spokesman for Williams said as of late Monday his office hadn't been notified of Harper's visit.
But a federal official said he contacted the premier's office to inform them of the visit.
Williams and Harper have been engaged in a feud over the province's ability to retain revenues from its offshore oil sector.
It's to the point where Williams has been asking voters to consider anyone other than the Conservatives in the next federal election.
Harper will be in Renews-Cappahayden on Wednesday to deliver brief remarks at the community's Come Home Year celebrations.
On Thursday he plans to visit Cupids to make an announcement regarding 400th anniversary celebrations.
